Who We Are
It all started during my senior year of high school. I was on the football field when a teammate tore his ACL making a deep catch in a rivalry game. After his surgery, I asked him what the next step was in his recovery. His response? “I’m going to physical therapy—to learn how to move, train, and get back to football.” That conversation sparked something in me. As a lifelong athlete, I suddenly saw a path where I could combine my love of sports with a career that helped others get back to doing what they love. That moment planted the seed that would become Orthostrength Physical Therapy. The Road to Orthostrength
After earning my Biology degree from Kean University, I pursued my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Long Island University–Brooklyn Campus, graduating in 2014. I entered the field eager, hungry to learn, and ready to help people regain their strength, confidence, and freedom. But early on, I hit a harsh reality. Like many new grads, I found myself in a high-volume outpatient clinic—treating 3–4 patients an hour, bouncing from room to room, with stacks of documentation waiting at the end of each day. I didn’t have the time to truly listen, assess thoroughly, or give each patient what they deserved. I burned out quickly and left within months. That experience opened my eyes to a bigger issue: the traditional PT model is broken. It prioritizes productivity over people. And that was never why I got into this field. |
Rebuilding My Vision
I transitioned to a hospital-based outpatient clinic, where I was finally able to slow down, develop my skills, and treat patients more thoroughly. Over time, I had the opportunity to work in brain trauma, acute care, inpatient rehab, home health, and outpatient orthopedics.
That diversity shaped me into a well-rounded clinician—but orthopedics and sports rehab always felt like home. I loved working with active adults and athletes—people who wanted more out of life than “just getting by.”
In 2020, I became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and realized I wanted to serve people who were motivated to train hard, move better, and come back stronger after injuries—not just return to function, but return to peak performance.

Orthostrength Was Born
In the fall of 2020, I made the leap and launched Orthostrength Physical Therapy—a private, performance-based practice where the patient comes first.
I wanted to create a place where:
✔️ You work 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every session
✔️ Your goals matter as much as your pain
✔️ We treat the whole person, not just the injury
✔️ Strength, confidence, and education are part of the rehab process
✔️ You walk away with not just relief—but a comeback story
